NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 29, 2026) – The National Housing Conference (NHC) Board of Governors has announced its Executive Committee, including new officers for 2026-2027.
Ralph M. Perrey, Executive Director of the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA), assumed the role of Chair, succeeding Ali Solis, Principal of S3 Advisory Services, who will remain on the Board as Immediate Past Chair.
“I am deeply honored to serve as Chair of NHC,” said Perrey. “At a time when housing affordability remains one of the nation’s most pressing challenges, NHC’s role as a trusted convener and advocate is more important than ever. I look forward to working with my fellow Board members, NHC staff, and our partners across the country to advance solutions that increase housing supply, expand affordability, and strengthen communities.”
Perrey has served as the executive director of THDA since 2012 and is the longest-serving director in the agency’s history. During his tenure, THDA has expanded its mortgage assistance programs, established its own loan servicing division and increased support across the state for affordable housing developments. Perrey serves as the immediate past Board Chairman of the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) and serves on the bipartisan National housing Crisis Task Force.
“NHC’s strength has always come from bringing together leaders from across the housing ecosystem to advance practical, bipartisan solutions to our nation’s housing challenges,” said David M. Dworkin, NHC’s President and CEO. “I look forward to working with Chair Ralph Perrey and our outstanding Executive Committee as we build on our momentum, elevate innovative housing solutions, and continue advocating for policies that are tangible, impactful, and achievable.”
THDA is the state’s housing financing agency and works to promote the production, preservation and rehabilitation of affordable housing for very low-, low- and moderate-income families and individuals across Tennessee.
