THDA is experiencing a high volume of loan submissions associated with month-end activity. THDA’s current underwriting turn time for complete file submissions is one week.
- Underwriting Status- Reviewing complete files submitted to the Underwriting queue on 09/25/2026
- Processing Status- Reviewing files submitted on 10/01/2026
To help expedite the process and minimize the need for multiple reviews, please ensure you are using the Underwriting Checklist to confirm all documents are in the file. Please submit all outstanding conditions together in a single submission.
NOTICE ON SEPTEMBER CLOSINGS
Due to current underwriting volumes and turn times, loans that have not reached Queued for Underwriting status as of September 22, 2026 are unlikely to complete the underwriting process in time for a September Closing.
Lenders are strongly encouraged to work with all parties to reschedule September closings into October to allow sufficient time for underwriting review, condition resolution, and final commitment.
